I have two 1 1/2 inch lake catfish (caught right after they hatched, have been captive for about 4 months)

They have recently been moved from a 10 gallon guppie tank, to live in my 20 gallon tank with my single goldfish

One of the catfish has done this twice already today...he would swim around flipping, and twirling all crazy

What is wrong...should he be seperated from the other fish for now...the only other tank i have is a 3 gallon tank with a filter and no air bubble

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

The catfish that is spazzing out has been in the tank for about a week 1/2, I added the second catifsh 3 days ago..and they are getting along fine. The catfish was put in the same day as the goldfish is (the goldfish is 3 1/2 inches, including tail) So it is clean water, only about a week old

I can't move them back to the 10 gallon tank because it already has 2 catfish, and like 10 guppies, its to overcrouded..and it doesn't have an air bubble

If the catfish weren't behaving like this before, I'd move them back to the 10 gallon. It's possible that with the goldfish (and you don't specify it's size) there may be too much ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate in the new tank and it's affecting them.

goldfish prefer cooler water temperatures than guppies, so it's possible that the catfish is reacting to the change in temperature. i would recommend putting the goldfish in the 10 gallon and the guppies and catfish in the 20 gallon, just make sure you don't forget to change the temps of the tanks before putting them in their new home.
