Ive tried burning CDs on my laptop with sucess in the past but it suddenly doesn't work, for no reason, and i havent changed the type of disks im using. Im trying to burn an audio CD and Im using Tesco CD-R blank disks. Ive tried using both Media Player and Itunes with no luck, whereas the family PC seems to have no trouble doing it (but if i cant burn a cd i cant transfer my songs to that computer to do it on that anyway so im stuck :(. ) It starts to burn the CD then suddenly stops, cancels it and chucks me out a CD which cannot be re-used. Its wasting my flipping CDs and they are not cheap!! Ive gone through about 20 CDs trying to get it working. Im using different playlists too, so its not the song/ authorisation or anything. There arent any updates on Windows that my computer needs, been and checked... So Im really stuck!!! please help...
and dont suggest downloading software, im not allowed :(

I'd be frustrated too if I had 20 shiny new "coasters". Are you running any other programs while trying to burn your CD's? My personal experience : the most success I have had is by running the least amount of programs and expecially not being online while trying to burn. You may want to even temporarily disable your anti-virus, anti-spyware program while burning. Other than that, a visit to the repair shop may be necessary to diagnose your problem.

once you assert that the CD is sparkling and could not play... Do you recommend that it will not play on yet another device? if so, there are a pair of issues to income a million - That the device will play CD/Rs (a pair of million/2 of the equipment i've got have been given won't - yet i'm previous formed) 2 - That the CD/R you have burned has been finalised - IIRC there's a container that desires ticking in the Nero Burn communication that does this - If it incredibly is not ticked, it won't play on maximum different gadgets. of direction, it could desire to easily be that yourchronic is frelled... Or which you're applying CD-Rs while yourchronic in hassle-free terms takes CD+Rs or something

Unfortunately it sounds like there is a good chance your CD burner drive decided to die on you. All I can suggest to you is to buy one of those CD laser cleaners. They look like a regular CD but have a little brush on the back of them that wipes dust off of the CD burners laser with each spin. You should be able to find them at any music or computer store. Chances are it won't work, but it has been known to do the trick in some cases. Most likely you'll need to take your laptop to get the drive replaced. Good luck
