I know I sound not smart, but I must tell something. The question I ask is not about travelling anywhere neither in space nor in time. It is about preparing own soul for experiencing something that differs from the reality of "now" and "here". It can sound strange, but we have this reality. But it is not with us, it only SURROUNDS us. To make it our part, we must completely SURRENDER ourselves to this reality. This reality is created by God, and it's name is God. Let's live in it!

The thing is, many people are leaving their homes and hope to return back soon, but they don't. Some people don't leave their homes for pleasurable impressions and still die. The spiritual "section" will give an answer to a person like it was given here by Amaris. The answer is good enough for people, who don't remember, or just don't know anything about sin and it's mortal consequences. However, there are people in this world, who know what Amaris has told in the answer.
I don't want people to forget about their souls, no matter how good or bad their beliefs are. If they remember about the eternity without my assistance, that's fine with me. But if they don't, I'd see no crime in attempt to remind what I think is the most important part of every experience, including travel.

Well, Viktor, I think the first thing we need to ask is how we know where we're going. (Y'know, look at a road map and see if the highway we're on is actually going where we think it is.) I think it's human instinct to compare ourselves to everyone else and think, hey, I'm not so bad, I'm going to heaven, right? I try to be a good person!

There are a couple problems with that, one of which is that God doesn't judge on a sliding scale. He judges us based on whether we are good like He is (i.e. perfect) or not. Of course we're not, because like the Bible says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

Then the other question is whether our good deeds count for anything. And again, the Bible says, "All our righteous acts are like filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6)... unacceptable to God.

So what's the problem? According to the Bible, God is perfectly good, and we're flawed. We are naturally inclined to do wrong things, and what's more, we rather like it. We don't really want God telling us what to do.

But God isn't just perfectly good, He is also a perfect Judge, and His sense of justice requires that there be consequences for our sin. Romans 6:23 says, "The wages of sin is death"... physical death, yes... but also spiritual death, or being separated from God and unable to have a relationship with Him. When we die, we make that situation permanent. Since we are guilty, we're sentenced to spend forever apart from God, miserable, in a place of punishment. And what's worse, we don't have the ability to make things right. We can't pay the penalty without undergoing it.

But there is good news, too! God WANTS a relationship with us. He wants us to be reconciled to Him, so He made a way for us to be forgiven. He sent His Son, Jesus, to earth in a human body so that He could die on the cross for us, and take our punishment on Himself. Jesus was God in a human body, God and man at once, so that He could be both perfect and yet capable of dying in our place. Romans 5:8 says, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Wow! THAT's love!

Jesus was buried, and God raised Him from the dead to show that His sacrifice was acceptable- that the penalty had been paid. And now here's the best part...

We are incapable of earning God's forgiveness, but God is offering us a free gift of forgiveness, and a relationship with Him. When we choose to trust in what Jesus did on our behalf, and that God raised Him from the dead, we are forgiven and guaranteed that we can spend forever with God.

Here's the rest of Romans 6:23... "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." This is so amazing to me.

So the Bible tells us there is only ONE acceptable way to be made right with God, to know where we're going, that we're REALLY leaving this world for a better one... (John 14:6) "Jesus answered, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Once you've trusted in Jesus' work on your behalf, there is nothing else you must do to be prepared to leave this world... the most important business of life has been dealt with.

I don't think OBE (out of body experiences) is really considered travel. Maybe you want the spiritual section?

It sounds like you are asking this question in the wrong category if you are spouting about death. If this is a travel question I have no idea what you are talking about.
