So my boyfriend won me fish right? Because I am a fish lover, I went out and bought an aquarium kit and everything. The kit came with a Whisper Aquarium Filter. I installed it.. everythings just peachy. My fish are still alive, but I was wondering. because it re-circulates the water, do I need to go out and buy an air pump. There are bubbles appearing when the water pumped out of the filter hits the water, but I'm not sure if its enough for my fish. The tank is 5 aquariums and I have two small goldfish. Answer ASAP, please :)

You don't need and additonal air pump - the filter will do more to add dissolved oxygen by disturbing and circulation the water at the surface of the tank where the oxygen is actually absorbed.

You will eventually need a larger tank - the goldfish you have are most likely to be a "common" variety (ones with a single tail) and these can grow up to 18". Fancy varieties can grow to around 10".

Nope, you don't need an air pump. The water is aerated when it is churned up by the propeller inside the filter.

They are fine. Aquatic plants are good for aeration.
