Any tips suggestions???

If you're bad at algebra chances are you'll be good at geometry. While algebra is more of step by step operation where strict rules apply (yet you can still find different ways to do a problem) geometry is more abstract. You have be a more out of the box thinker. And if you're good at this type of stuff you'll be great! I'd advise you to actually take the time to understand the material instead of just memorizing. Believe me if you understand then it everything is at least 10x easier.

PS. Make sure to draw EVERYTHING out. To see it on paper makes everything that much easier. Don't be afraid to ask question and to make mistakes.

It depends on the type of geometry course you are taking. If it is a "discovery" course then you'll be going through exercises to learned different rules about Euclidean geometry. If you're taking a little more advanced course you may be presented with a definition or theorem and then asked to apply it.

My advise to you is to never do anything idly. Keep and active mind through out and talk aloud to yourself or others. If you can explain a concept aloud then it is a good sign that you know or maybe even understand the concept. It helped me a lot to do this and find where my short comings are in all fields, not just mathematics.

I took geometry last year and I would not say that I found it easy...but it also depends on your teacher my friends had the same course(different teacher) and they got As whereas I got Bs. I had Algebra the year before that and I am not that good in math but I have to say I found Geometry really interesting, I had to work for good grades but the course was like a challenge for me(in a good way). I would recommend taking good notes, studying for tests for at least 2 hours because you have to memorize the theorems and postulates completely otherwise you will feel lost on the test and most of all find a way to make it interesting for instance for me our teacher gave us "interesting" problems they weren't the part of the course and they were really challenging but it felt really good and satisfying when you solved it. Last but not least have FUN with it. I am sure you will do good just don't give up and keep on going:) I hope this helped!! Good Luck in Geometry.

Euclidean geometry is going to teach you to think deductively and logically as you use axioms to prove propositions. If the course follows Euclid's Elements, it will begin with plane geometry and then solid geometry.

If you like Euclidean geometry, the next step is non-Euclidean geometry which encompasses Einstein's theory of general relativity and its affects on the properties of physical space.

Geometry is the easiest of all maths in my opinion. As long as you have a general idea of shapes and know basic math and basic algebra you will do fine

Attend class, take notes and ask questions. Do your homework. Math isn't a spectator sport. If the teacher puts it on the the board or writes it down so should you.

For homework have study buddies. Have a phone number of someone in your class. I always did college math homework in the math study lab. memorize laws while you are learning how they apply.

Geometry is very visual, lots of diagrams.
Does your school have math study resources ?

Geometry's very easy. It's mostly exploring everything you want to know about shapes. I was my favorite math class. Just make sure you follow along. After that there's nothing to worry about.

I wasn't great at any higher maths and I loved Geometry. Leave everything you think you know about it at the door and try seeing it for the first time. And think about these shapes in everyday life. The little light will just come on for you.

Go get 'em.

Geometry is probably the easiest thing you will ever do in your life. It's like third grade algebra with a little bit of logic.
