We live in the same town, but my house is out of her way. She will be giving me a ride to school every morning.
How much should I pay her in gas each week?

it depends on how much gas you use to drive her. What I usually do when my friends and I are going out and I want them to pitch in, I stop at a gas station. Go to school almost empty one day and stop at a gas station while driving her back home, and say things like "aw, I don't have enough money to fill it up today" or something. That's a really polite way of doing it. She should get the hint, and if she doesn't, ask her upfront the next day and tell her that it's a bit inconvenient for you and you would like some help from her.

pay at least half when she fills up with gas at the end of
the week (if she drives a lot more that to and from school,
figure about what her gas and such cost for the trip and
pay at least half.)

Calculate the distance they're driving you, the car's gas milage and the price of gas and pay that full amount.

I'd offer to split the cost 50/50.
