No, they've already done it! And, the little critters can digest just about any molecule with a carbon stuck on it and reproduce like crazy. They had to go to all metals seals in the containment vessel after they ate the polycon gaskets. There's nothing to worry about, though, because they've installed enough thermite to incinerator the entire facility in case they get out again :-)
