just multiply 12 x 18 = 216
oh by the way if you ever don't have a calculator, as is the obvious case now, you can break numbers into parts and simplify the problem
For example, 12 is the same as 10 + 2. so 18 x 10 is 180, and 18 x 2 = 36, and 180 + 36 = 216
