I think they have a very good chance to get in the Playoffs.

Yes, I do think that the Yankees will make the playoffs this year. By winning the division or getting hold of the wild card spot, I do not have a clue. The Yankees had a terrible start, but now they have everything put together. Their pitching is doing well, and the bats are really hitting. Boston could hold the lead because of the strength they have on their team, but the Yankees have just been so good. They won three in a row whereas the Red Sox have lost one. The Seattle Mariners are doing very well in the wild card race, and they pose as another major threat besides the Red Sox to the Yankees chances of reaching the playoffs. The Yankees upcoming schedule against harder teams than before will be a test which they have sufficently passed so far. They are facing the LA Angels today whereas the Red Sox are facing the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The Mariners are against the Twins which is another good team. The Yankees have a better chance of going to the playoffs by getting hold of the wild card spot. But, for now, only time will tell.

As a die hard red sox fan it pains me to say it but of course they will. Baseball in October is nothing without the Red sox and the Yankees in the playoffs. As much as i hate to admit it the Yankees will probably edge us for the division like always and we will get the wild card and see them in the playoffs....yet again.

They were what FOURTEEN games behind Boston a few months ago? Now their four!
Talk about blowing a lead!
Also they are .5 games behind Seattle. They will make the playoffs no doubt about it.

can they make the playoffs sure they can but you are foolish enough to think that u can win the world series with that pitching staff. oh ya they haven`t made it yet.

Lots of people doubted it in April, May, June and July. I never doubted it. Anyone who doubted it then can be excused. Anyone who doubts it now is a fool. Title 27 is on the way.

I hope they don't! Unless the Red Sox make it too (which they will) that way it will show it wasn't just a fluke when they beat them 2 years ago. GO RED SOX!!!!!!
