1st Quadrant.

The 3 is pretty much irrelevant since it is the magnitude and has nothing to do with what quadrant a particular coordinate value is in. The angle - in this case pi/3 - determines the quadrant and that would be in the first.

First 0 to pi/2
Second pi/2 to pi
Third pi to 3pi/2
Fourth 3pi/2 to 2pi

the quadrant is decided only by the angle..
that is .. pi/3 here.. which is 60 degrees.. less than 90 deg..
so first quad.

3rd quadrant (pi = 3.14 so 3rd).
