I am a sales agent and really enjoy the conventions at the resorts .... so I would probably just give all of my accounts to my sister and still enjoy the resorts ....... but as far as working at this ... I would immidiately retire with the exception of doing payroll and getting drunk at the conventions .... as a matter of fact I would probably just go to alot of business conventions for fun because the resorts are more fun for me when I have something in common with everyone their and social activities like catamarran boats and para sailing and theme parks and live bands and 5 course dinners and cigars and other than that and stripclubs and motorcycle rallies I dont socialize much except for mundane sales business over the phone .... I dont know, if I walked away with $60 million give or take a few mil after taxes and the advance I might just get too wild for the conventions ... I would definatley .. yes I would quit my job immediately .... fix my Harley, well customize my Harley and just .. well live like I did 13 years ago ...... when I was just a junkie ....... yes , I will become a junkie again ......

I would stay a little longer for two weeks because I would like to leave this state and move one state over, so I know it will take me a little more time.
No one would know that I have won the Lotto. I would tell no one. I would stay at my job, look for something part time over the next state, get myself familiar with that routine and then, after 6 months to a year, I would move. People would think that I was making a lot to afford to move over there. No one would be none the wiser.
And later down the road (the next year), I would give some money to some family. I would tell them I won something from one of the casinos I went to.

Well assuming I played the lottery and won then I would stay in my job for a month at least so that they could find a replacement.
I do care work and work with people quite closely so I think it is a bit different, I couldn't just cut my contact with them without plenty of warning.
And then what to do? I'm not sure...

Yes, I would. I would stay as long as they needed me. I have been at my job for 5 years and have a very excellent relationship with them. Plus, if I won the lottery, I would still work - at least part time, or volunteer my time. I would go nuts not having anything to do!

If the job was a worthy one say working for a Wildlife Trust or a midwife and you had to help someone get through labour I would stay for 2 weeks at the most. If I worked in the corner shop or an office I would leave immediately.

I'd stay for at least another year, spending the lottery winnings on a new bicycle, paying off my mortgage and investing, then maxing out my 401(K) at work, spending my work paychecks on whatever I wanted and taking better advantage of my vacation time in the meantime. I wouldn't just split and run. I'd probably also try to keep it quiet that I won.

$7k-9k in furniture is kind of a lot. Second, you cant base friendships off of money. If you had $200k, you would suddenly have lots of friends. If you don't waste your money on furniture and vacations then you could live in something better than a mobile home or save up for your daughters college. Third, animals are more important than children so don't spend a lot on animals. I do think certain animal organizations should have funding but not as much as homeless people or orphans, etc.

IF being the operative word here, I would keep a job I had (IF I were not self-employed), because I have seen a person or two who won the lottery and spent the money and was broke very shortly thereafter. I also would not mention that I had won anything to my co-workers. It isn't anyone's business.

I would go to work to tell all my coworkers that I won. Then we would all quit. It's an understanding we all have. One of us wins the lottery and we all leave, ofcourse everybody gets some money. As you can see, we all hate the place we work at and we all want to screw the company over.

If I won the lottery, I would go to school, and get my Nurses Degree, and then be a Nurse. I would still want to work. I like working. Makes me feel useful. I would just want to be doing what I really wanted to do, and there would be comfort knowing I was working because I wanted to and not because I had to. My husband says he would do the same.
