guppies only eat wingless fruit flies i think

Cutting off their wings won't be necessary - this just ensures they don't fly off as you try to put them in the tank. If you would plan to anesthetize them to cut off their wings, you can just add them to the tank while they're "asleep". Or just put a few at a time into the container, then put the container underwater before opening/releasing the flies. As long as the wings are wet, they shouldn't be able to fly, and the guppies will pick them out of the water. They like mosquito larvae too, if you're looking for some more natural foods that are easy to get.

The guppies don't care if the wings are attached or not.

You Dont have to do that. You can stop by the nearest pet store and see what the clerk people recommend. I reccomend Fish Flakes. I have some guppies to. Dont worry.

fruit flys r 2 small u can hardly see there wings your better off just killing a normal fly with a fly swater then put it in the fishes tank you dont have to cut of the wings just put the fly in the fish fish tank they will eat it i give flys to my fish like that all the time and they love it

When you cut off their wings use a cross cut blade on your power saw, it works really great and they don't scream as loud as if your using other blades.
