I think the baseball writers have set a precedent with McGwire. Apparently, it doesn't matter what your stats look like if you are under suspicion of performance-enhancing drugs.
Eventually, people will recognize that Bonds has been one of the greatest players of his time, but the steriods scandals will not let him get in easily. Personally, I don't like Bonds and think he's a total jerk, but he's one heck of a ballplayer.
Let's not forget, since they started testing for performance-enhancing drugs, more pitchers have been caught than hitters. He wasn't the only one using.

He would have made the Hall without steroids. And that's the biggest reason why he should NOT be let into the Hall: He didn't have to do it, but he did it anyway. He is a disgrace.
But he will get in. The Hall voters stiffed Mark McGwire the first time around, but that may have just been a one-time punishment. Nothing more than a symbolic statement, which they may not make again next year. I don't see them having the sense to keep Bonds out.

I think he should, all those people that put him down for doing what he did, are just a bunch of hypocrites. And even so, he is a incredible athlete. The steroid use in sports has always been there but just never been brought out into the open until recent years, who is to say that Babe Ruth or others of that era never done anything to "help out" their game play. Anyway, my answer is yes i think he should.

that's an thrilling question, because of fact earlier Bonds began utilizing overall performance-improving drugs (around 1999), he became a undeniable corridor of Famer. The question, then, is not any count if his cheating on account that that ingredient ought to disqualify him. i might say sure - his cheating over the final 7 or 8 years has made a mockery of different documents, to boot as skewing the interest's aggressive stability. earlier he began on the juice, Bonds became between the only right gamers the interest has ever produced. via utilizing steroids, he made himself right into a participant extra suitable than all and sundry ought to be without cheating. For that, he ought to be banned from the interest and saved out of the corridor.

No. The Hall is voted on by sports writers; their failure to elect McGwire is probably the template we should be looking at. Though the links between Big Mac and any performance-enhancing drugs are inconclusive, the suspicions alone were enough to limit him to 24% of the vote. The proof of Bonds's PED use are much more compelling, and the writers will almost certainly take that into account even if he never gets convicted of anything.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Let's take a minute and think the guy with the most homeruns in mlb history, most walks, 3rd in runs, most mvp's, and multiple gold gloves. I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say he's a first ballot hall of famer! For everyone who says he's taken steroids, he's a cheat, etc..... Cry me a river and drown me in your tears. They haven't proven a thing with Barry Bonds and until then he's innocent!

I'd induct him after he dies... that way he doesn't get to enjoy it. Cal Ripken and Tony Gwynn deserved their induction, and they deserve all the fun and games they are doing right now. Bonds is a liar, a cheat and an all around bad person. Not a role model, not a hero. He does have the accomplishments, but they will always be tainted... If he makes it, I hope it's posthumous.

of course he will
even tho he took steroids. he still will until a document comes out with test results saying he took them after the drug policy etc etc etc
and junior, he wouldnt have been in the MLB if he couldnt hit a homerun. steroids helped him hit MORE HR
i hate that whole "steroids dont help you see the ball or hit offspeed ****" because you shouldnt be playing the game if you cant do the simple crap

I say no Hof for him, but he will end up there, his numbers before the steroids were good enough anyway, so take away the tainted numbers and he still goes.
