See - all the Yanks on here think you're a dimmy because you don't know that George Washington was the first American president.

As you are from India, why don't you ask them who India's first president was and see how many of them get that right?

In fact, some of them would struggle to tell you where India is!

George Washington was the first American President.

He was elected in 1789 and his presidency ended in 1797.

Fun fact: The Electoral College elected Washington unanimously in 1789, and again in the 1792 election; he remains the only president to receive 100% of electoral votes.
