Being born is what God gives us...we negotiate and or fight for the rest. We should definitely revere the soldiers...not only did they fight to get us those freedoms but they have fought throughout history to keep them for us.
If freedom were a God given right at birth, then the whole world would be born free....

Yes, in America, we are born free. We recognize that our rights come from our creator. Among these rights are the rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
America is unique in history in that our government was set up to defend the rights of the people. All other governments were designed to protect the power of the rulers.
Radical Islamic terrorists wish to remove our right to Life. We honor our militay for defending this right. Criminals want to steal what you've Pursued for themselves. To defend this right we have the law enforcement agencies. And there are those who wish to take away your Liberties as well. In defense of this right the government was set up with a seperation of duties and the public has the right to bear arms and the duties to speak out and vote against those who try to take our freedoms.

Soldiers do not give us our rights.
They protect them from being taken away by someone, some country,or some ideology.

Soldiers don't give freedom, the defend it. And yes, it's worthwhile to respect them for their sacrifice.
