I'm going to get a lot of thumbs down for saying this. But they both suck. Basically all the current rappers are bad, I prefer the old ones like Tupac and Eazy-E. Some of the current 'rappers' aren't even rappers, they're confusing rap with hip-hop and it's a total mess.

Eminem, of course. He signed 50 Cent after listening to his album and brought him into the limelight. Also, Eminem has produced some tracks for 50. surely, Eminem deserves the credit, with regards to your question.
