From my previous question asking if this coin is an error, I've come to conclude that it is an error. I believe the coin is made of a goldish copper. Would any one know if it's worth something or just worthless?

Your coin is likely not an error coin. There is a slight possibility that your coin was struck on the wrong planchet. It's impossible for us as readers to really say (we need pictures). If you'd like more definitive answers post your question again with pictures.

I recommend that you take your coin to a dealer and they can give you a good price estimate. Without pictures it is hard for us to give you a value on it. A lot of pricing depends on the condition and rarity of the coin. So again, your best bet would be a dealer.

Coins from the U.S. mints are not made of gold colored copper, even the new dollars are not gold colored copper but manganese brass with a copper core.. There is no such nickel anyway. Your conclusion is wrong. The only thing possible is that the nickel is on a cent planchet and in that case the coin is smaller than a nickel. All the error coin experts say you are wrong, so live with it, or stop bothering us and go have it authenticated.

Could you scan or take a picture of this coin. Without a picture no one can really help you. It may be an error although it is unlikely . Are you sure it is not just damaged or not clean. .I am sure if you took your coin to a coin dealer he could tell you.are you sure that it is not gold plated? I have purchased nickels from Littleton Coin Company that are. Well I hope this helps some.

EDIT**

I am sorry but your coin does not seem to be an error(it just looks damaged or not clean) I looked at your pictures and I know that it is not gold plated either. Take your coin to a coin dealer and see what he says. hope this helps

without seeing this coin, i would bet this coin really is dated 2006, but has damage on the 6 that makes it look like a 5. for this to be a "mule" would be virtually impossible, sorry

It was probably left in the annealing drum too long .
The nickel was coated with Copper Dust from the heat and the pellets, in the drum...
