D. Amino Acids

A protein is a HETROPOLYMER (where the monomers, or building blocks, are not exactly identical) of amino acids.

The amino acid sequence can be thought of as the R-group, or side chain sequence which will then determine how the protein can fold based on which side chains are close to one another.

Protein are thus informational molecules with the information present as the conformation, or 3D structure of the protein. Remember the information in DNA is encoded as the sequence of nucleotides which is expressed as the primary structure of proteins, that is th amino acid sequence which then determines, partially at lest, the folding and thus the 3D structure of the protein. Thus the information is expressed as the 3D conformational structure

This is a very basic question and something you can research and find almost any where. Google is your friend!
But the answer to this is D.
Proteins are chains of amino acids linked by condensation reactions between the N-terminus and C terminus of two amino acids. The varying patteren of arrangement of the different amino acids (20 specified by the genetic code in total) and varying length is what gives rise to a protien's specific properties.
