Freddy Sr made it big and became famous very fast, he was divorced and junior was only an infant. Close friends that saw him hours before his death say that he was just fine and happy not long before his death. First investigators closed the case calling it a suicide. Years later the case was re-opened and according to new develpements they claim that somebody else pulled the trigger and then made it look like Freddy did it. so now they call it homicide. Have you heard that story? If so, then how would you like to be in freddy jouniors shoes?

I'm old enough to remember Freddie Prinze Sr. and Chico and the Man. I saw the True Hollywood Story on him and what they said was that he had been depressed about splitting up with his wife and pulled the trigger probably out of desperation and without really meaning to kill himself. He didn't actually die instantly from the gunshot and was rushed to the hospital so I think staging it as homicide is unlikely. I feel bad for his son for three reasons. First, Freddie Prinze Sr. was an extremely talented and well-respected comedian. That's a lot to live up to. Secondly, he lost his father as an infant and never really knew him. Thirdly, having a parent commit suicide is a terrible thing to have to live with. He seems to have turned out pretty well though. His mother must be a very strong person.

I've never heard that story before about Freddy Prince Sr. Nothing would surprise me though. If I were Jr., I would make sure all theories were thoroughly investigated.

I have heard about it when it first happened, but I didn't know what happened later on, very interesting.........For his son I would if I was him I would do everything possible to find out who did this to my father............
