Im on birth control pills, metformin and atenolol ( blood pressure). In addition to that I also have gout so I've been taking meloxicam. I didn't want to rely on metformin and atenolol since my doctor told me I'm just bordeline diabetic. Well my question is I've heard of this herbal call DONG QUAI to regulate menstrual cycles and since I lost my medical insurance recently, its cheaper than birth control. Any insight on dong quai? Thanks.

Please be careful with Dong Quai. It has the capability to thin out the blood so much that if for some reason you find you need to have surgery later for something that it can make it harder to heal from the surgery.

Please discuss all possible herbal treatment choices with your doctor (you can call and ask about this).

in case you dont have the insulin resistance with PCOS then you definately shouldnt be prescribed metformin/glucophage. you will be able to desire to be a candidate for Clomid considering the fact that your not ovulating and you dont have the cysts. I had to bypass on the metformin and it made me incredibly unwell, yet not undesirable. Clomid made me sense incredibly undesirable in spite of the undeniable fact that (terrible warm flashes). communicate on your dr and notice what he thinks, because of the fact metformin isn't for each individual, i've got heard of human beings having terrible reactions to it in the event that they dont have the insuline ingredient.
