I tell my wife I love her.

I stroke my cats.

I look out the window and enjoy the view of my garden with the birds and the trees.

........and I think how lucky I am to be alive and to have lived through a period of relative peace.

I'm still very young (almost 15). But I try to fill my day with reading philosophy and read about all kinds of religions. I think I'm here on earth to help others, and to find myself. I'm trying to build a better me, and I've got help from all my friends, and ofcourse my loving parents. I just want to learn as much as possible, so at the time I'm 50, I really can say that I'm wise. I'm still foolish and young, but I try to change that as fast as possible. I'm enjoying my life as I should, and taking every part of it.

I'll also try to pay a little more atention in English class, I'm Dutch, so sorry for the bad english.

Greets!

I don't go searching for more meaning, the meaning seems pretty clear to me - realise true conciousness, and reconcile myself to it.

To help me achieve this day by day, I do a fair bit of reading on philosophy, and study comparitive religion. From there, I can develop my own thoughts much better. If by chance I'm doing it all wrong, then I will die as a highly educated person, and be (hopefully) reborn to start all over again.

I take time to wonder at the world. Take a step back and marvel at sight and sound. The simple things are amazing, and there is so much that makes up the experience of everyday life to which we are completely oblivious. For example, we 'see' only about a thousandth of the EM spectrum. What we experience isn't what is, it is only how we experience what is.

Hello, sounds like you are in a "catch-22" type of a life style. the same ole same ole.... and it's gets boring after a while... all of a sudden, what was interesting in the beginning isn't anymore... and, like a broken record-skipping over the same old song..sounds like a drag... kinda like "my life!"Ha Ha! So, what do i do about it! Ha Ha! Talking to yourself helps alot! this is my way of dealing with things. And, if i had a recorder, i could write a 'book"(that's an idea, if you have the gift of gab) i invent"jokes about myself" everybody else used too, now i get their humour, and , i think i'm better at it, because i know me more! I also do what sounds "interesting to me during the day"(whatever keeps me happy and sane!) Ha Ha! Then over coffee, i think about all the things i could do, should do,haven't done, would have done, ect. and make lists of itch! (i'm a cronic list maker) then, i pick from the lists what i can fit into my "keeping me happy and sane schedual" (sometimes it involves others) and we get with other things, and the next thing you know, my life just got "fuller" and filled with more meaning, more enjoyable, spread out into other fields of activity...new ideas replace "old ones"new lists, it's really cool! Ha Ha! But first, you gotta start "talking to yourself" Ha Ha Ha! ...lol...lol...lol Ha Ha !

Help old ladies across the street, you know: volunteer at a nursing home, a children's organization, even a library, that's always fun! Help feed the homeless, teach English to migrant workers, become a Boy Scout leader...

True meaning can only come from living for a true purpose. Purpose, by its very definition, requires a God:

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted 20th century philosopher, mathematician and Nobel Laureate)

Everything not connected with seeking God is really only seeking good feelings about ourselves and that makes seeking good feelings the center of our existence.

Well, lets see. I think well of others. I do what I can to help others. I read my Bible and other good books. I send encouraging e mails.
I answer these questions to help others. If you don't do things that are helpful to others, what have you done to help mankind?
