my kids, i dont think they realize all that i have been through and all that i go through to give them nice things. i mean i work 55 hours a week, also i clean my office on the weekends for extra cash, i go to school online too. their dad doesnt ever help with money or see them even. i do it on my own. they brake their toys and its like "come on! that costs money! if you cant respect it then you wont have it" i feel bad cause i have to spank them or take their toys away, but they have to learn. im all they have and they cant walk on me.

Many relationships are stressed by communication problems, so I would guess many people will say yes to this question. However, it is a CHOICE for one to "feel" anything, so if we find ourselves feeling unappreciated or used by someone close to us, then we need to exmine the cause and help resolve it rather than letting our "feelings" get the best of us. That being said, I would have to answer YES, but I am working on it.

i've got have been given 3 little ones an a quickly-to-be ex-husband. Throw in a improving drug addict mom with extreme PTSD and a professor who hates my guts. i think so unappreciated i'm like a Mormon at a Texas Swingers occasion.

Not so much anymore but my ex and my kids use to make me feel like that, but he's gone and they've learnt to appreciate any and everything I do for them.
Now if I can just get my Mother to show some, but I doubt that will ever happen, she's to old and set in her ways.

I used to. And then that's when I stopped caring and going at of the way for the "important" people in my life. And nothing changed.

Yes my last bf, I did things for him that I would never do for anybody else, and in the end he broke my heart the worst possible way.

yes . . . but I can understand why I might feel that way because I'm not the easiest person, so it makes it hard for people close to me to relate or know what I am going through . . . but especially for my parents to raise lol!! . . . I'm one tough cookie ;)

Every dang day. I have a house full of teenagers that think the world revolves around them and they don't appreciate anything that is done for them.
