I have a low flush cistern the valve is a torbuck! when the toilet finishes flushing the pipes under the floorboard go bang well thats what it sounds like or if I go into the bathroom just before it cuts off I hear it worse..Should I change the whole cistern in side the basin. ? should I contact the water board ? I am at my wits end now and would it help if I put in a new cistern ? Thank you

fish bowl is right you need to find out where the loose pipes are and clip them if you cant get to them try sliding some pipe lagging along the pipes

You could have a section of pipe that has no support hanger and is loose. If you also have a fast-closing valve, the combination of the two could cause the banging noise that you hear. Can you get to the pipe to find where it is hitting the floorboards? If so, install a hanger or two. If you can't get to it, you might want to check into a slow closing valve.
