Where was the first McDonald`s restaurant out of the USA?

Many countries claim they had their first McDonal´s restaurant. Anybody knows where was the first one and what year?

George Cohan obtained the first liscense from Ray Kroc.
At the time the book was written, the Canadian McDonald's were actually doing much better than the U.S. ones.

Ray Kroc opened the Des Plaines, Illinois restaurant in 1955. First day's revenues-$366.12! No longer a functioning restaurant, the Des Plaines building is now a museum containing McDonald's memorabilia and artifacts, including the Multimixer!

In 1967, the first McDonald's restaurant outside the United States opened in Richmond, British Columbia.

After Ray Kroc bought the name from the McDonald brothers his first franchise was in Des Plaines, Illinois, a suburb outside Chicago. It still (if I remember) has the old arches and red and white tiles. Hamburger University, the training center for McDonald's managers, is also located in suburban Chicago.

The first McDonald's restaurant was in Downey, California. I believe it is still there. When my kids were little we went there occasionally, a hamburger cost 19 cent, a shake 19 cent and french fries 19 cent, we allowed the kids to chose 2 items of their choice. They usually selected the french fries and the shake. It had only window service, no seating inside.
