If we didn't, we would be living in a private sphere. I don't dwell on what I cannot change, but every so often, it doesn't hurt to take a refresher course on what NOT to do in the future. Had we known then....we would all be multi millionairs...but we didn't. Had we made that choice instead of this choice,..... and so on and so forth. IT does no good to regret, but lessons learned the hard way are lessons remembered, aren't they? And let's face it, it isn't as if we were not forewarned by parents, friends, etc....we did what we did, took the licks, and kept on tickin'. Not bad, considering how many didn't make it along the way. I made a promise to myself long ago that, on my death bed, I would NOT regret NOT having done this, that, and everything. So far, I have lived up to my low expectations. :-) Peace

Well not really, I can look around me and see my life everyday and its not so bad. There could be the question -- would have I changed my life if I could go back now? Some things yes, such as worrying my parents in younger years, but they never stopped loving me for one minute and they were easy to forgive, so I have forgiven myself as well.

I would never change my career choice because nursing is in my bloodstream, I need it to live almost as much as the air that I breathe. My goal is to shuffle down the halls to a sick person as long as I can.

Sorry for rambling on so! lol

I'm happily married to a great guy, raised two wonderful adult
daughters, am a grandmother to a really sweet two year
old girl. I'm a avid knitter, I paint, love to travel, dogs and
all animals, little children. I look back on my life and
realize that I've done the best I can. I have no regrets.
That's all anyone can do.

strange you should ask this question as I was wishing my sister
" Happy Birthday " and told her in the conversation that the family would have been much better off had I not been born. cost the family a fortune because of medical problems and have done nothing in my life worthwhile. all I am is a " born loser " and no one would really say I have done or amounted to anything.

Yes, I have lived a good life, but I wasn't really ready for retirement. At this point in my life I intended to go into the medical profession. I never thought that my little body would give out on me. I guess I just pushed it to hard

yes, and sometimes wonder what am i suppose to do with the rest of my life. but with what i have done my most precious thoughts are that i raised 2 beautiful children 32 and 26 who are both in the military carrer and i am very proud of what they have accomplised in their life, and the fact that i had a lot in forming them into the people they are today. i am very proud of both of them and all 6 of my grandchildren

Damn right! Disappointed? Damn right! Am I going to worry about it? Nope! I always did the best I could and made decisions based on my knowledge at the time and the facts I had at the time. There's no use second-guessing it now.

No. Every time I look at the faces of my daughter and my grandkids, I know what I've done with it. Done my best for them.

That's what I was meant to do, I am sure.
