they cost a lot of money, but I have heard they last forever and are very soft.

I've heard that as soon as you wash them they loose all the 'wicking' bamboo properties so it's not really worth it.
I think it's just a trend bc of the 'green' movement everyone is obsessed about right now. You can get some really great towels at Crate and Barrel, or if you are on a budget, I've found nice, lasting towels at Ikea for very cheap.

I had some Bamoo sheets and LOVED them for about 3 months before they started getting holes in them because they were so thin from being washed every week. So - overall, not worth the investment but they sure were soft and cozy for a little while! ;)

Sounds like to should invest in some good sheets and towels, as much as I hate to say this Martha Stewart has a good line to choose from. and they last forever.
