When my son was little I used to sleep when he took naps. I was friggin' exhausted!

Unfortunately, I didn't have the pleasure of staying home with my kids when they were really little. My youngest was a year-and-a-half when I got to stay home with her. Naps ended soon after...
When I was home on maternity leave, I would also take a nap if I needed one. If I wasn't tired, I would read, sometimes clean, or get dinner ready... There was no YA when my kids were little...

Start off napping with them if I am tired. Get up after half an hour and do something quiet like a craft, read, laundry, cook, watch tv, chat on the phone, email. It is short lived though, so it really depends on my mood.

Well, I dont have kids of my own, but I am a nanny for two kiddos under 3.
I play on the internet too, or just rest and watch me some t.v., every once in a while I will also take a nap........

When mine were that age I would nap if I needed 2 and I would clean and do laundry and catch up on things like that!

When my son was a baby, i was told i should nap...but who has time for that, i had bottles to clean, laundry to do, showers to take...

My children do not nap.
Hubby and I both feel it's an absolute waste of time to sleep in the day unless you're ill...cause you can sleep when you're dead.
So, in answer to your question, kids don't nap, we don't nap...we have quiet time, but never nap time...so we read or catch up email, etc.

Answer questions, read, sleep, boink, make dinner, jump on the Wii, etc. My son will be 1 on the 3rd.
