The purpose of this life...
What is the purpose of this life?
Money, holidays, a beautiful wife?
There is no point in us denying
Each heart beat brings us closer to dying
You'll breathe your last
Your life will have past
Don't pretend
Death's not the end
You will taste death, death never waited
Look around you, everything's created
It has a creator, it has a meaning
A mother gives birth and then comes it's weaning
The sun rises and gives us light
It sets, then falls, the blanket of night
The plants all grow, when falls the rain
They give fruits to man, and they too will wane
Why does man think that he will get away?
Spending life aimlessly, as if he's here to stay
A fixed time is appointed, everything will perish
Everything you hate, everything you relish
Except the Almighty Allah, He will remain
And then will come judgement, all on one plain
Allah will say, I gave you life
I gave you health, wealth and a wife
What did you do with your time?
What did you do in your prime?
Did you spread my message, did you spread islam?
Why not? Did you not read the Quran?
My friends, we muslims, we are so blessed
Allah gave us islam to supercede all the rest
My non-muslim friends, the Quran must be read
Read before it's too late and you're dead
You owe it to yourselves, it will make you cry
You'll know these words are from the Lord most High
Instructing mankind to the purpose of life
And the reward my friends is everlasting life
Our purpose is to worship our Lord most High
The reward is heaven where no one will die
You'll have anything you want, all the best dishes
And Almighty Allah will grant all of your wishes
This life my friends is just a cage
We should live by His orders, to be safe from his rage
You will understand when you read the holy Quran
You'll know the religion of truth is islam
Protect yourself and your families from hell
Embrace islam and all will be well
For the deeds of this life, you'll pay the price
In the depths of hell or in paradise

Is this a philosophy question, a theology question or are you just a clinically depressed person?
The point of your life is what you make it. You can wallow in imagined misery which translates to being mentally lazy. Open your eyes and look around. Find something to do that interests you other than self pity.
Don't worry about god or why god put you here. God will take care of the dead. It is your job to take care of your life.
You have two options. Roll belly up and sink or take control of your life and do something with it.
Life is short, dead is forever.

Dont dwell about the existence of god because honestly NOONE knows about it no matter how much some people tend to claim to... Life is about the here and now so dont look forward to an after-life because u never know if there is one. Do everything you've ever wanted. If you have a Goal I suggest you follow it however try not to make it an impossible one. Be a good person, find someone who you Love and loves you for who you are, have children, settle down, get a good job, excpect the worst, understand that some people are Lucky and some people arent as lucky as others. Learn as much as you can about our world and its contents. spread your knowledge and wisdom to your children.

Hey Weird, I don''t know anybody that is truly "happy with their lives" join the club!We are all happy to have ya! We got all kinds of "crap" in our lives too. Welcome! And you are right, you are not "usefull" to anyone, sorry, but this is true..."unless,now, you begin to be usefull to yourself" See, if you are not your "first priorty, then, you're nobodys, and this is how you will be treated, like a nobody..It's how you deal with the "crap" that will define you as a person.(a Somebody!) But to lay down and give up? Whoa! this is when you become no use to yourself or anyone else, and this is what makes you feel this way! That "giving up feeling" This is "not" what God created for, to "give up"and feel this way and talk this way, and be all depressed and down... You want to know the "point" of your life? Well, it's gonna have to start with "you!" So, what are you gonna do about it...continue the way you are? or think about a "change" and that's the point.

I think that our lives have impact on others and it can be useful to think about it in terms of what you are able to add to the accumulation of the human experience. Even very small kindnesses can have a great impact on others. Sometimes a smile or a kind word, or helping someone pick up a spilled bag of groceries, can really help tip the scales for them, make a good day out of one headed the other way. Then, as they continue on, they approach others with a smile or a helpful gesture. This can catch on, and create a wave of positive energy that lasts a long time and adds to the quality of life. So when the larger issues start to slow you down or depress you, sometimes its helpful to remember that there are small things you can do to help others and in the process, feel better yourself and improve the emotional climate of your part of the world.

No one can honestly face up to a pointless existence without risking suicide or insanity. But if there is no God, then life has no purpose, no meaning and no point to it.
All of our attempts to create our own use for our lives are really just ways we have to make ourselves feel better so that we can make it through a pointless life without committing suicide. These ways are,
1) Keep busy so you won't think such deep thoughts
2) Focus on small happiness such as your morning cup or coffee or tea,
3) Seek the praise of others so you can gain a feeling of self worth. Do this by volunteering at a cancer hospital, for example.
But if we admit that God may exist, then it makes sense to me that He must have put our great need for purpose into our human nature in order to get us to seek Him. So put seeking the point to your life aside for the moment and instead, seek God. I think then He will find you and then everything will fall into place. Don't seek Him for what He can do for you, seek Him for Him alone.

You must find your purpose. Figure out why you have no happiness 90% of the time and change that. Only you can make yourself happy. Don't forget though, sadness is a normal emotion and it is good to be sad too. Without pleasure you would never know pain and without pain you may never know pleasure. They balance each other.

You're trying too hard. There isn't really a point. Humans are just a more intelligent animal. It's not like we're the special species that gets a purpose. What is the point of life for a Rhodesian Ridgeback? Or a jaguar?

haha...you think you are no use..why do you have this negative self image? Have you ever smiled at someone? Have you ever laughed with someone? Have you ever said hello to someone? or anything litle of that matter? If you did then, look you have been more useful than you think of yourself now. i think that is why God created you. Don't you realise little things you do to others mean alot to them and how happy they with you? I think you have been more useful. Remember no one is a failure on this planet, please look up and try always to do something good everyday. You are useful and you can make a difference in you life and the lives of others. Always smile.

Rubbish.
Everyone is of use to someone, even if it is only themselves.
Get out there, meet some people, travel around, see some places, there's a big old world out there.
Chin up mate - we all go through bits of our life like this and only you can get yourself back up again - give it a go and you'll surprise yourself.
