How well would you know the ET?
There's a great episode of the old Twilight Zone that had this as a theme. An alien race came to Earth and befriended all countries. They gave us all some great technologies and ended wars between different countries. They offered to take people on trips to their planet. They gave out a book that was not translated into any Earth language. The title was translated as: "To Serve Man"

At the end of the episode, the book was revealed to be a cookbook.

What I'd ask for is the technology and ability to go there ourselves.

I agree with derail:

- The atmosphere would probably be poisonous, most likely containing high concentration of methane (it's an accident that evolution has resulted in our atmosphere having so much oxygen)
- There would be no defense against micro-organisms and a human would almost certainly die of an unknown disease
- What would they supply as food and drink? Their research might make them think that tripe and tapioca pudding is a suitable diet.
- I might be treated as a scientific exhibit, to be dissected in front of some alien biology class.
- They may have strange dangerous customs that are quite normal to them (they may have bodies that re-generate, and may unwittingly dismember me, thinking my limbs would grow back).
- I would be treated as a madman when I returned.
- Because of the time dilation caused by relativity and the necessary near light-speed travel to their planet and back, I wouldn't return for thousands of years.
- I might be visited by a tribe of aliens after my return who would explain that, as a result of the experiments performed on me, they are all my offspring, and demand maintennance.

Probably not. I'd be afraid I wouldn't have any tolerances or bodily defenses towards any variations of gases in their atmosphere, as well as any microbes I may inadvertently pick up. Evolution on earth has provided us with defenses and adaptations against micro organisms on earth, but anything on another planet could easily infect the human body with devastating consequences.

I'd be tempted.
It's highly unlikely that if I agreed to go which is also highly unlikely that I would desire to stay with a race other than my own - the blest Earthlings.

(I guess I have enough trouble in the year 3000)

I would go on the condition that i would be able to tell my family and friends first and that they can guaranteed to send me back and not imprison me. Oh..it would be great if my best friend can come along too.

As long as they promised not to give me any of those forced enemas they are always accused of perfoming. I'd probably want to visit and then come back.
