I have had a Bala shark for a few months now and he has grown to be about 3'' long and 1'' wide....would it work out of i now tried to introduce another one into my tank or would he care less about it and not shoal with it? i have a 72g bowfront tank...is that big enough it keep thse two rather large fish??

Even a 72 will be a little small for them as adults - they'll grow to be around 14", but the reason for the larger tank isn't so much for the size, but for their level of swimming activity. They actually would do best in a school of 3 or more, so a VERY large tank would be needed.

Bala sharks are social and not aggressive, so you can and should certainly add a couple more. Your tank is big enough to have 3 or 4 without a problem, as long as you understand that there will be a time in the future when they do outgrow it (figure on thinking about upgrading or finding them a new home at about 8" long).

yes. but you should keep an eye out to see if they don't have enough room. because they might try to kill each other.
