I quit my last job because my boss called me stupid. Being called stupid is the very least of the crap i put up with during my two years at that work place.
From what I hear.. he continues to do the same to employees that work there now, amongst some other irate obscenities towards his employess.

I live in California and I know that hands down its a case for Harrasment, and he CAN get a case pinned to him for that.
Being that im a former employee, is there anything i can do to make sure this Employer stops his torment?
Has anyone been through a situation like this with their employers and what are some steps i can do to make sure HE GOES DOWN?

For example... my girlfriend works there now. As for a part time job, she Instructs CPR and First Aid classes for the Redcross.
This employer approached her to do the classes at his business, and he wanted her to do them for Free. When she said she'd charge him 50% he went straight to the Redcross and paid full price for the class es, instead of going through her, AND she wasnt allowed to take the class.
example 2, his whole feeling on giving raises is, "If your digging the same ditch, why should i give you a raise?" basically if you havent learned to do more than why even bother giving you more pay. One of the employees that doesnt work the field, but is inside the office knows at least three different departments of the company, she does Payroll, Customer care, and Scheduling, all three are seperate within the business. He still hasnt given her a raise, and she's been there for two years.

Theres a whole lot of stuff. if these dont sound viable, help me understand what

I think you already did the right thing to make sure that "he goes down". For starters, getting yourself out of the environment was a good thing for you. Sometimes, you just have to do what you have to do. And, if you were a good employee, then your absence is surely his loss!

As per legal action, however, I think you have no case. The man is simply a jackass, and I do not think that that is a cause for legal action. Oh, pardon my Matlock.

You have not cited one fact which would rise to the level of a sustainable lawsuit for workplace harassment or any other legal action for which recovery can be granted.

Any california attorney, if they have any ethics at all, will tell you the same thing.

You can file a lawsuit against him in a civil court for one.

Try contacting the BBB and your local county clerks office to find out how you can pursue some type of action against your employer.

You could even contact your local newspaper to see if they can run a story, too.

As far as preventing him from causing the same heartache to you onto others...the best thing you can do is boycott the store and by word of mouth let as many people know how bad he treats his workers.

You need to cite specific examples as to how your boss harassed you, during your employment.

Also, if discrimination was not involved, you probably need to show damages.

You have not cited enough facts for even an "arm chair quarterback" opinion.
