That's a fairly common and time-honored conservative tradition. When the answer to the question would be bad for their side, they answer a different question.

It's hard to take you serious when you have such an obvious spelling problem. (ie... changing not "changeing" and blaming not "blameing"). Besides, you are referring to one answer, so let's not generalize, don't you look foolish enough already?
