ok so like she works at a upscale restaurant in California as a waitress and she's like 22 and totally broke, and she said that on her smoke break outside she was talking to one of the other waitresses on how she doesn't have enough money to pay rent or eat, and one of the custmers who was also outside overheard her and wrote her a check for $1000.00!!! I totally don't believe it but she says its true. what do u think?

It could be true. Recently, a lady (Jessica Osborne) received a 10,000 check from a regular customer that knew she was broke. The young lady is going to spend the money on her education.

I have several questions.
1. In general is she a liar?
2. Is she a waitress at an upscale STRIP CLUB?
3. Did the check actually clear
4. Why did she tell you this story? If she called excited and shocked maybe- if she was trying to explain where she got a large sum of unexplained money then its probably a lie.

Who knows. People blow smoke - related or not.
I'm a Californian and I've seen people spend money like they had a damn money tree in their backyard.
Maybe just look at it like good for her if she did, and if she's fibbing just be her cousin and don't judge her. If she is in over her head she may not want her family to know. Doesn't make it cool but just so you look at it a different way.

Sound like it's not true,but you weren't there and she has no other witness. It could be true, Most of the time we will believe a lie over the truth.

Well in my (opinion) this sounds more like a lie than the truth for one I never heard any one giving away that kind of money for nothing. Lets just say if I was a Billionaire I wouldn't just give away a grand without nothing in return.(I'll let you use your imagination on this). Please take note ,,Thats if ( I ) gave away that kind of money.

Who the heck knows?!! None of us know the person she is, only you can surmise as to whether she's fair dinkum or just pulling your leg.
If it's that big of a deal to you, ask her to show you the cheque.
