If you arent eating normal, your body considers is malnutrition and if you are exercising like crazy, your body also has a likely chance of missing a period. As far as the eating part of everything goes, if you arent taking it the correct nutrition, your body tells itself that you aren't in any healthy condition to have a child, so it stops ovulating and you therefore miss your period. It's good to be healthy, but what you're doing is completely unhealthy. You need to eat correctly and at least 1000 calories a day. Exercise isnt a bad thing, but dont overwork it. Exercise 3-5 out of the 7 days a week is perfect. Anything beyond that, and you risk other problems with joints and muscles. Especially if you arent eating the correct food & nutrients, you're at even more risk.

First, you may be pregnant. A missed period is the first sign that women notice. If that is not an option for you, then you diet is the biggest problem. Your body will stop the period if you are malnourished.

Menstrual fluid isn't just blood. It is nutrient rich and filled with everything a baby would need for support if you were to conceive. With a poor diet, the body cannot create the layering the uterus needs for your period. Poor diet can also affect your bodily functions, that includes the glands that control your period.

The most important thing for you to do is start eating more. Your body needs it and without enough energy from food not only will your period not return, your body will slowly break down and you are running the risk of a slow death without you even knowing it.

Exercise less and eat more. A women should take in at least 2200 to 2500 calories each day. You should see an improvement when you diet gets better. Take care!!

Not gone forever, the exercising will throw it off.

Sorry but I do not think that is your real problem here, the real problem is only eating 500 cal. Your body is not getting enough and it is going to start holding onto the little food your are getting and you will gain weight.
Exercise, eating healthy and having a regular period is all good for the female body, don't try to fool it.

You apparently are experiencing ammenorhea. You are not healthy if you haven't had a period for 5 months. Mensturation is a healthy thing. You are either under nourished or exercising too much. Sounds as if you have an eating disorder. I imagine that you are probably suffering from some vitamin deficiencies & also iron.

You'd be best off to go see a Dr. and explain what is going on with you.

Girl, you need to start eating. 2000 calories a day! That's why Aunt Flo's gone. You need to establish good eating habits instead of exercising constantly. Exercise for 30 mins-1hr a day, and eat sensibly (veggies, fruit, lean meats). Stay away from the junk food, but still eat. Skip the sodas and go for milk and water.

5 months sinse you started exercising or your period - if it is your period then thats normal periods tend to be not exactly on time at first, also exercise can throw off your period so I wouldnt worry to much ( however if there is a posibility of pregancy go get a test even if the posibility is very slight because eating like that will kill a child )

If you are under 18 years old, it is normal cause youir body is adjusting to the level of hormones. So you have till your 18 to have your periods in a regular way.
In other thing, you eat so little your period may be supressing itself to avoid a loss of blood that you may need, due to your little ingest of food.
It is called amenorrhea to the lack of menses.

Other causes of secondary amenorrhea include:

Stress
Poor nutrition
Depression
Certain drugs
Extreme weight loss

Good luck!

the women that were held in concentration camps during WWII did not have their periods because of extreme malnutition. you need to eat more and exercise less. get checked out by a doctor to make sure it's not something more serious.

Most women that are very athletic do not have their period like not so athletic women.
You are not only working out but STARVING YOURSELF.

It takes 1200 calories to keep you alive lying in a comma.

So let me get this right.
You are starving yourself and working out. Destroying your bodies ability to maintain itself and your muscles.
And you are worried about not having your period.

Right :(
