Its the show on Discovery where they show how ppl survive after a giant meteor hits the earth. Those scientists sure have looked into all the possibilities and scenarios. Do you think if and when a giant meteor crosses earths path that we will be ready to stop it?

Hi. The last really big object was originally calculated to be only a few days from impact. This is something we could NOT stop. Do a search on NEO (Near Earth Objects) to get a better idea. Here is a link to the organization which looks for them. Their budget is meager.

Nope; not at present. It's one of the things we're capable of, and I think should be planning for, however.
