No, the pyramids were not covered in gold. Only the top point of the pyramid was gold. The Pyramids had an outer casing of white stone ( I believe it was limestone), which because it was a soft stone has eroded over time.

They were covered with white limestone, which was later quarried off by later people. Some of the stone can still be seen on one of the pyramids, at the top. Also, the Great Pyramid did have a gold capstone. If you'll notice, the very top is flat--the section which would have completed the pyramid was the gold capstone.

The pyramids were not sand or clay. They were limestone blocks covered with white limestone plaster to make them shine. The limestone casing was stripped by the Arabs when they conquered Egypt in the 7th century. They also stripped the pyramidion (on the top), which was in fact electrum, an alloy of gold and silver.
They did not have tiles!

No, not entirely - just the top-most portion.
The pyramids were originally covered with blocks of finished polished stone to make the outsides "smooth" rather than composed of the many small(ish) steps that we see today. At least one pyramid has some of this original finishing stone still in place, which is made of white limestone. Over the centuries this white limestone has been stolen for other building materials as it was of much higher quality than the blocks underneath.

King Khufu's pyramid, built 4600 years ago, has a base that is about 756 feet long. It stood 756 feet tall when it was built. It is thirty-three stories high. When it was first built it was covered with bright, white limestone. It even had some tips of solid gold

No. Not the pyramids themselves. However, sarcophagii and other vessels have been found that are covered in gold.

No, they were build with large blocks of a clay and sand mixture. Then the people would use a cloth and rub it until it was all smooth.
