My monitor has been acting weird for the past week. Mostly the reds and browns are pixelated, but so are dark greens and other colors. I've tried turning off the whole computer for a couple hours (overnight), but it still didn't work. Do I need a new monitor or video card or something?

Check the colour depth setting on the computer, you might have dropped down to 256 colours for some reason.

Could be your video card, but I'd update the drivers to both card and monitor first. If that doesn't work check another monitor if it works. It's the card.

Its probably your monitor's fault. Try replacing the monitor.
