Why do people seem to need to buy those ugly military guns?
They are useless for anything but killing other people. I think that all guns should be taken away.

Oops I meant to say the tiny scale Airsoft assault weapons. They look sooo dorky.

Part of the reason for "The People" being armed is that they can challenge tyrannical government (if our government ever gets that way).
The Clinton's and the Brady's during the 1990's invented a crap term called "legitimate sporting purpose", implying that you could only own arms for hunting. This is silly and was never mentioned by the Founding Fathers, who I trust alot more than the Clintons and the Brady's.

True assault weapons have been banned since 1927, full auto weapons, rocket launcher, hand grenades ect.
You can't go down to the sporting goods store and buy a flame thrower.
Guns are tools, machines and of themselves are incapable of evil acts.
People commit evil acts with or without guns.
The only thing banning guns will do is give evil people fire superiority over the general public.

If I have the money to arm and assault helicopter or purchase an f-16 I should be able to . I should have the right to a nuclear weapon if I so choose .
This idea of what one can and can not do with his or her money gets me ticked off .
Since when did it become the right of other people to determine what my life should be like . What ,where ,when and how I may go in this world should be up to me and my resources .
If I want to trade with Cuba what right does anyone have to prevent me from doing just that .
For a so called free nation there seem to be a lot of rules to follow .

You already have to have a Class III permit to own an assault weapon.
Unless you're talking about semi-automatic firearms that have cosmetic similarities to assault weapons, in which case the answer is no. Those firearms are functionally identical to many other "acceptable" firearms. The only difference is that they look scary to the under-educated among us.

That would depend on what you define as an assault weapon.
My M44 was banned under Clinton because it could be used as a spear. It has a permanently mounted bayonet.
It is a 6 shot manual bolt action rifle that I use for deer hunting.

They're not only good for killing people because they're also used in competition shooting. What's your problem with that? For that matter, what part of the 2nd Amendment do you not understand? An armed man is a citizen, a disarmed man is a subject.

I don't know why a civil person should have an AK-47 or an M4.
If they going to sell weapons at least customers should pass a psychological exam.

It depends on what you mean by assault weapon. My 7-year-old son won a water gun at the arcade the other night - I told him if he finished his verbal skills workbook he could keep it, and he did. If it were up to Nancy Pelosi, I'm not sure it wouldn't be confiscated.

If you ever find yourself face to face with an eight-point buck with an AK-47, you'll want as much firepower as you can get your hands on.
