If you believe in god can you please explain here what made you believe in it?

I didn't strongly believe before i got saved which was just a year ago. I felt like I was being like renewed (corny huh?) My legs felt like jello. And now when I pray about something it actually happens or a get an aswer (may not be the one I want, but i get answer)

Some people believe that Ford is better than Chevy while others believe the opposite. Some people believe in ghosts, some space aliens and some time travel.

Why do people believe what they believe?

I think that the people who believe in God do so for their own reasons and each may have a different reason. For some, believing in the existence of God answers all of lifes questions and is comforting during difficult times.

I believe in God because, I am He. :) I am part of his being and world. Everyday I try to act as a compassionate God around my sorroundings and the people. And I see the things that I can do and see and feel, and it is all amazing and marvelous. I see the creative and destructive forces within myself and know that If I can be a being which can see and create and destroy, there must be a God/force who created and destroys.
I believe in a God/creator, because everything in this world has a purpose and is created to support the circle of life. Our world/earth is self sustaining and renewable, and it follows a circle. There is no beginning or end, everything is recycled in the physical world and the meta-physical world.
I believe in a God because there is a part of you that is always questioning if there is a God. And you always feel peaceful and at peace when you BELIEVE there is a God. Else you are in a daze always questioning and not finding. :)

The Philippines is a very strong Catholic nation. God resides in our country. Everyday miracles happen as you just look around. One example why i believe very much in God because He saved my niece from a rare disease called biliary atresia which attacks the liver of a baby usually diagnosed at a very early age. She is still alive today and now two years old. God is so powerful that He heard our prayers. Many people helped during the time we needed the money. About 4 million pesos was spent during the operation. It was successful after several months she needs to undergo another series of tests in Singapore and again millions of pesos were spent for her. She is very strong now because we trust to God always.

I just do from my early days as a child when I saw Jesus of Nazareth on television that affected me his story and how he died and my deep conviction started early on I love Jesus :))and his message is Universal for all :))) I have studied many world religions but Jesus guides me and he will always keep me safe. All the people in my life that have died under the cross too play a big part as well :))) I received all my sacraments and I think I have developed as I got older a truer understanding of my beliefs and no one will change that ever or take it from me...I think each person grows to God a little each day it takes time and when we have had pain and loss we could get mad at God but somehow come back because that is where we belong :)))I have gone to catholic schools and even a catholic university and I am proud for this I love Jesus and I always will I am his channel......................

He offered a really good way to receive salvation ( it makes good since) The word does speak to your heart ( his written word) ...........His truth will set us free from self delusion,....His word gives you hope in your personal life today,..............You want to learn true Wisdom!.....Read the book of Proverbs my friend,....these things have given me faith and hope in him,.......sometimes he will even send you special messengers to comfort you,....they can be angelic at time if need be,....theirs little miracles that can be given to you to build your faith for it is surely a journey that does take work and true repentance and prayer,.....if you dont have these essentials you will surely lack in your walk,.....the Lord has shown me things in part, but when he returns he will show us much more,.....have faith brother, You must seek the kingdom of heaven first and then things will open up to you.......not in your own knowledge,....but in his eternal Wisdom.........and these are the many reasons why christians have faith today,.....but he will not reveil his self to you unless he see's something in your heart that he can use,...... we must be willing to serve in his name...(Faith coupled with good works( LOVE)is the best one two combination ever)......... It is not a matter of believing but having faith and knowing that he is in our heart and soul. Well part of it also has to do with that I was raised christian and that has a big part in my belief for him and no one can change that.

Many people against God because of the unbelievabel and unacceptable as you cannot touch him when you need. Every religion has the principle to give peace to people, how. I can say that is his teaching with deeply respect. Have you ever do it. answer to yourself.
