Everything....my countries culture is unique in the world, and I like the idea that Scots are amongst the best liked people abroad. Wherever I go in the world, when I say i'm Sottish I instantly make loads of friends.

I am Scottish - and I cant understand what people see in Scotland - the cost of living is probably the highest in Europe. and one of the highest in the World..and I have always found it strange why as a nation that produces Petrol & Whisky - it costs more here - than in some 3rd world countries.
It Rains - constantly - the place is full of mad junkies ...aaachhh !! I could go on & on ...does it sound like I dont like Scotland ? .. ooohh!! one thing I do like about Scotland - Winters are chilly but we dont get huge snowfalls.

A stunning landscape and heritage, main cities are vibrant for shopping and night life. A large number of parks and open space as well as museums (which are mostly free). Good transport links to the rest of the world, pretty good healthcare and education systems.

Downside, the weather in the west can be mild and damp, no real snow except the mountains.

Best of all the people are open and welcoming in the main.

I have been to the West Highlands twice and loved every minute. The scenery just takes your breath away, it really does.
I have been to Glasgow for a long weekend and that was just amazing too. The people are very friendly, the streets are spotless, I just love anything and everything about Scotland.
Scotland Forever!!!!

Man when I retire, I want to marry a 30 year old, and build a house on top of one of those green mountains, and have like 1000 kids, and just live off of the land.

My grandfather came to USA from Scotland. I would LOVE to travel there, to see the sights, hear the sounds, so I can understand more about him. He died before I was born.

Drinking beer for breakfast!
I was so blown away by being in another culture - and seeing people with a pint in the morning was just awesome.
