I live in cumbria, and the local council have a clause that once the elder child turns 7, you have to be moved into a larger house.I seem to think this clause is different for different county's, the best thing to do is go to your CAB.

My son and daughter shared a room when he was a infant and she was 4. We only had 2 bedrooms and had no choice. This went on for 9 mos. and then we bought a house with 3 bedrooms and each child had his or her own bedroom (and have ever since).
At the age of your children, I would think their sharing a bedroom is fine, but you will need to find something with a 3rd bedroom soon. Around age 8-9, your daughter will probably start being modest and like/need some privacy. Is there anyway your daughter could share your bedroom with you? (Sorry, you didn't indicate if you are married or not.)
There is nothing illegal about the two children sharing a bedroom, but for their sakes, please give them their own rooms sooner rather than later.

some states ans some localities have rules against too many human beings living in condominium properties, in spite of in the event that they're all kin, i'm particular some pass so a procedures because of the fact the small print to no rely if a brother and a sister can share a room, and at what age. some states and localities even have rules against too many unrelated peopel living interior the comparable homestead or house. as an occasion, many places have rules against extra advantageous than 3 unmaried, unrelated human beings sharing a three-mattress room homestead or house. and against extra advantageous than 3 married couples sharing a three-mattress room homestead or house, as an occasion.

I would say that up to the age of about ten it would be OK, children are maturing earlier nowadays, but I shared a bedroom with two of my sisters until I was ten ,they were both older than me, then my Dad bought a bigger house and we were able to have our own bedrooms after that.

At one time the whole family slept in the same room, including grandparents. No one had any problems with it. children heard and saw their parents and grandparents having sex. Even the animals, donkeys and cattle were in the same room in early Israel. No one minded as it was the norm.
I not only slept in the same room but in the same bed with my sister whom is 7 years older than me. I was 12 and she was 19. I don't think either of us were damaged in anyway because of that. It was necessity because of the house we lived in was so small.
Let them sleep in the same room and even in the same bed if necessary. It isn't anyone's business what you do! You are not promoting anything illegal or wrong, you are dealing with what you need to do for a roof and protection of your children.

I slept in the same room as my brothers for years. Not because I had to either. My eldest brother is 12 years older than me, the next is 9 years older and the other is nearly 2 years older than me. To make you feel even better, I used to drag my duvet into my brothers' rooms to be near them at night. It made me feel safer. Your youngest will probably enjoy having his older sister in the same room
I think you kids are too young to be worrying about that. Your daughter will probably need her privacy in her teens, but now isnt an issue. Plus, it is always different with family.

At the ages they are now it is legal.I am not sure what age the council say you should have separate accomodation for different sexes but I think it is round the 10 year old mark. You should be able to log on to your local council website and find out.

At that age I would say it was fine. Once your daughter gets older it will probably be better for them to have seperate rooms - but I'm not sure if there are any laws about different sex sibblings sharing / not sharing a room?!?!?!

Yes they can sleep in the same room, it is not illegal.
It will probably be a problem when they are older (your daughter will want more space) but you are looking at a good few years yet.
