Yes, I do believe so. There is an eternal bond.

But I also feel the same for a father and a child. I love my daughter so much...she is the joy of my life. I would give away everything I own just to keep her by my side.

It does for me, but in the case of a post that I've answered similarly relating to this question, I guess not with all people. What about mothers that abandon their kids or give them up for adoption, or other painfully horrible things that I won't list here...It's really a matter of state of mind with that parent. As for me, most certainly yes, there is a special love between me and my kids.

Yes there is a special bond...You cared this person 4 nine months, you were bonding then. As they grow the bond is stronger.. There's nothing like a Mother's love.

Most mothers love that baby from the second it is born, but there are some who have no feelings for the child. Sad, but true.

I think that because she carried the baby for 9 or so months and gave birth to him/her I think there is usually a special bond between a kid and the mother. :-)))

Bonding-Can be effected when the two are separated for too long after the babies birth-as in the case of Premature babies who must be on life support to survive.
Post Natal Depression can also effect this bonding phenomenon.

I know that without a shadow of a doubt I couldnt possibly love anyone else the way I love my son.

Yes, usually. Sometimes that link just isn't there though. There are cases where one or the other is just psychotic and doesn't know how to have that sort of connection.
