maybe its your soundcard, or your system. we took our computer to get fixed and it was the system i think.

Start Menu> Control Panel> system
Hardware Tab> Device Manager.
Look for a yellow spot with a black ! this should represent your sound card.
Select it and click the [Del] key

it happened to my computer a few times before. Just reboot the computer, and everything will come back. im not sure what happens tho., maybe a clash in software or sth. OR u might check the sound control panel which u can view by clicking the little loud speaker icon on ur desktop bar. Be careful not to check the box on the second column Wave.
