I wrote this book report once and added a whole section about the band Soundgarden just to make it meet the required number of words. Got an A too, lol! I wonder if the teacher ever went back and read it all.

Yes. I once had to pad a paper so I blathered on about babysitting and religion and somehow managed to tie it in to the point of my paper (it was about the Baby M case). I got an A. And THAT'S why I got into an Ivy. HA.

Why, are you saying you have lazy-assed teachers who don't read your essays?
No doubt there are many who read the first page and grade you on that...those are poor teachers...but all my daughters assignments, the teachers pen in comments on each and every page, and in several spots...to point out stuff and ask questions. This teaches the student where they should have maybe elaborted or done something different.
THAT is what a teacher SHOULD be doing. If they aren't then they aren't worth the money momma spent on their education.

yeah we had to take an English field test in high school, and I just completely contradicted my self throughout the entire thing..

one time i wrote an essay ....totally plagiarized...i had to write about a fictitious character...so i just wrote the lyrics to a song called billy milano...by m.o.d. .....and got an A...thank you very much....
