My little boy started 2nd grade today.. i was actually teary eyed. I told him to have a great first day, be a good boy, and i told him how handsome he was. And of course, i told him, i love you..

This is the first day of the rest of your life. What you put in now will pay off later.
Get an education or you'll end up as the janitor
Now I can get some rest
Keep gun loaded at all times
Hollow points work better
Find the biggest kid in class a make an example of him
Use protection
Beat the teacher if they give you homework on the first day of school
Don't sleep with the teacher
Don't volunteer me for making cupcakes
Don't rub your head with the kid who's got lice
Don't take drugs from strangers, only the ones you know
Slap the kid who sneezes on you
Enjoy these quotes, some make sense

Aww, my sister starts 1st grade on the 4th. Along with my other siblings who are starting 2nd yr in college, senior, junior (me), 8th grade, 5th grade and 3rd grade. Yeah I know 7 is alot
My mom always says something like, "Bye, I love you. Have fun and school!" Learning is kind of a given ;) Congrats on your baby starting first grade!

Happy for your kid. Big day. He/she will be fine and will probably have much more fun than you think. It's funny though, now that school has kicked in I see all the angry little faces at the edge of driveways waiting for the bus while I drive to work. We've all been there and remember the feeling. you love them but hey, they gotta pay their dues. Hope your kid has a wonderful day.

I say "I love you" but I also say "Do your best but have fun learning" or something along those lines. I want them to do their best, even if that means getting "B's" or "C's" but most of all I want them to continually have the love of learning and enjoy learning.... for that will help them down the road when they are older.
