I don't why the hell would you feel like you don't have freedom of speech?
i think the integration of the FCC was a much more damaging blow to our freedom of speech then this "Onslaught" has been.

ok -- this is a perfect time for this question. Last nite i was on, in YA - looking around, was talkingto another user on IM about all the violations, even for what i feel are g rated words, subject matter, etc. And the fact that people can run around in all of YA - not just P& S with avatars of -- ok i will be graphic -- but for the integrity of the subject matter and to make my point: avatars of female genitalia, in some abused state - dialated, looking like someone uses a meatgrinder in place of a wash cloth -- ok you get my drift, 360 pages with these photos, repeated 1000 times as the back ground, i hear everyone on free speech, i am totally against sensorship, BUT ( and yes pun intended!) there is a place for such graphic adult things -- YA is not one of them. These very adult conversations, and avatars - the pics are what is really the grabber for me--cause kids could walk by, or in YA -- younger teens etc., in here for legit reasons, while they may not read everything -- the pictures are there to see. Not ok.
I have a problem with them not getting really in trouble, and every little sarcastic conversation getting deleted or violationed, etc., i believe P&S should be a litle more relaxed and have a disclaimer that P&S has mature subject matter -- like PG - 13 - not rated X stuff, i think the violations and deletes by the Yahoo mediators need to be a lightened up guide line in P & S. As long as no one is being offended by racism, really out of line hurtful or genuinely mean and nasty stuff, discrimination, etc., we should be aloud to use smartassisms -- in good clean fun, ask legit questions aboutthe word yahole -- as i did and got a violation, without fear of being suspended, deleted -- as long as it is with humour - in fun, or if its not fun or humourous subject matter -- just some common sense and manners.

Last nite i got a survey from Yahoo about YA -- and i voiced all of this, in detail. Imentioned everything i just wrote about - in detail, with incidences named, not names named, but gave a direction for Yahoo to look for what i am talking about in days past. so, i guess its all to be continued. I invited the mediators to make themselves and their guidelines more visible.

so ---- i hope it gets reloved with some productive interaction between users and moderators.

we will have to see.....agggghhhh -- this spell check is taking too long - so please excuse any type-o's, sorry

oh and -- i too feel paranoid and wonder if i am going to deleted or violated -- so thats a lot of us that are feeling that way -- hec, this whole answer may get deleted, but i sure hope not, because , maybe, if we all use some common sense and manners -- this could be a turniing point between unhappy users and the mediators - aka trolls - to turn a corner and engage in visible productive interactions and converasations. I invite users and moderators alike to explore this train of thought. Hmmmmmm lets just be ourselves, be cool and have fun, and be open minded -- and you too moderators!

You are correct.

And now, unlike back in the 60s with Vietnam, the government can identify you though a photo of you in a protest, and then make you get searched every time you go on a plane, and trash your credit rating.

We would hate to loose you so be careful of whet you say about the trolls, it seems almost impossible to get anywhere with them even if you appeal against the decision..

i would think that our freedom of speech has its limits.
such as the war, the public civilization can say what ever they want but that wont actually do much.
