Just start acting different, but when you do, radiate confidence and assurance and in a few days they will realize how you've changed.
NOTE: I've heard this works, but I've never tried it! I'm trying it this school year...Good luck!

My daughter totally changed the way she dressed. This was last year, and it worked for her. She was following the crowd and didn't seem to fit it with any of the groups. Then I went to the city and watched what people were wearing. I came home told her about what I saw and we went shopping. At first she was unsure but she did it and went back to school with a whole new look. She even started some new trends. It worked for her confidence and she looks great.

you can start being different by dressing differently, speaking differently, and dealing with people differently. If you've been labled a snob, then start talking to people a little nicer and also including the not so popular kids inot yoru conversation. If you've been labeled a bully then stop bullying kids and befriend them instead. Consider apologizing to anyone you may have hurt in the past. If you've been labeled a nerd then try giving other kids in the class a chance to answer questions.

If you are acting yourself, why you want to change is beyond me. Seems to me you need to be involved with people in school who are like you for you to be happiest. Being different may include acting different. If it's not just looking or dressing different, there's got to be a change in your demeanor. But you sound like you want to be "Miss Popularity" or something automatically on the first day of school this year.

To answer this question, I think people need to understand how or who you were last school year. Just smile and laugh more and show more confidence. Start talking to new people and be comfortable and show it. It might be hard at first but if you make it an everyday thing, it gets easier.

Go in there with a big smile and maybe some new clothes. Say hi to everyone and ask how everyone's summers were. Tell everyone you did some really exciting things over the summer, things they would not expect you to do, regardless of whether you did them or not.
