Yes, they are revising the script and talking to talent. Originally it was going to be a "Haunted High" theme, but now it will be a "Graduation" theme.

yeah there is going to be a high school musical 3 and is gonna come out in theaters around october 24 the movie will be based on east high's senior prom and graduating class I cant wait for it. The movies name will be High School Musical 3: Gradu-Dancin' and all the characters are coming back. Hope this helps!!!!!!!!

There is going to be a third one that is supposed to go to theaters instead of being a TV movie. Several cast members have said in magazine interviews that the theme will either be haunted or prom, while Vanessa Anne Hudgens said on Live with Regis and Kelly that it would be graduation themed.

Yes. It was slated to be (working title) Haunted High School Musical, but that can always change. It is scheduled for wide release this time (in regular movie theatres) and they have just announced that they are working on HSM4... that's right folks, it's not going away anytime soon.

IF there is, it will probably be the last one with this cast unless they do something weird with collage musicals (that would ruin it.)
but i hope the 3rd will be as good as the 1st and second!
