Can you think of something that you once never thought you'd change your standpoint on...

But did, and now you think back and wonder where the heck you used to get your reasoning from??

(It can be anything at all!)

I always used to think that having like 1or maybe 2 kids would be a good thing. I guess it can be for some people, but now I think having just 1 child is unfair to that kid and sorta lonely for the whole family. I think 2-3 kids would be a good number.

I used to think that anyone sporting a Confederate flag was an ignorant racist. I then met the boyfriend of my best friend's mother, and found out that he was a pretty cool guy. Not a racist at all (from what I've gathered). I think a lot of people who are proud of that flag have some racial issues goin on. That being said, the phrase "Heritage, not Hate", though, rings true for some people.

No, I've been pretty consistent.

I am always willing to take new information into account, and open to new ideas and solutions.

I've been like that for long enough to where my standpoints don't shift radically, since I rarely make the mistake of claiming to know things that are unknowable, or accept things that have no basis.

Something I never thought I would change or compromise on was I said I would never whoop my kids. Well I don't have any kids but i know that the time out thing and the talking does not work you need to give whoppings out as needed.

I changed my mind on the concept of a soldier. I never realized until I spent time with them that they're just really young kids that like to play as opposed to people without personalities that have no problem hurting people and support George Bush...(many of them don't)

Well, this really isn't deep or very thoughtful but I used to hate people who liked the show Americans Next Top Model. I thought 'well, that's one show I'll never watch'...but I am hopelessly addicted and I hate fashion, so go figure!

I used to think abortion was terrible. I changed my position when I explored the realities and found that it is mostly married women trying to stop that 3rd, 4th or 5th child who get abortions, not teenagers.

I've changed my stance on a Deity... I used to believe but on careful, objective consideration of the facts came to conclude that they/he/she doesn't exist.
