If you're talking about cradle cap, this is what my doctor told me:
about an hour before the bath, put baby oil on his scalp and rub it in, then let it sit.
in the bath, while shampooing, massage the scalp gently.
use a soft baby brush after the bath to help lift the dead skin.

I would sometimes just gently peel it off his head. Very gently! He was young enough that he never minded.

Well really it depends on the age of your baby. If you have a new born then it is normal and it will go away. But if you have a older baby (3 -4 months) and it is dry and scaly then I would say it is cradle cap which is also normal but you can help loosen it and remove i. Before your bath your baby apply baby oil and GENTLY rubbing it on the area. The baby oil will help loosen the cradle cap then when you bathe your baby use a wash cloth to wash the area with a small amount of baby shampoo. Doing this for a few days will help to remove the scaly dry skin. But if you are worried then don't hesitate to contact your doctor or child clinic. Good Luck

I think you are referring to cradle cap. If so then my pediatrician in my last couple of babies told me to use a dandruff shampoo. I don't remember how often but be very conscientious about getting it in babies eyes because you are going to put it on and leave it on for about ten minutes, no water. Then rinse it out. After a couple times you should be able to brush a little out at a time. It does take a long time to get rid of craddle cap no matter how you look at it and some of the older women used to use baby oil and let it sit on the head. Hope this helps.

Good Luck!

I had the superb comparable project with my son. A blocked tear duct in the two or one eye is quite undemanding at beginning. the newborn's eyes drain clean fluid out of the corners of their eyes. it is because of the drainage into the nostril being partly blocked. maximum of those tear ducts open by ability of themselves in the previous 3 hundred and sixty 5 days of age!! My son become stable by ability of a bout 4 months. All you need to do is get some saline (saltwater) wash from a chemist and dunk some cotton wool into it. gently pass it over your infant's closed eye. this won't purely wipe away the gunk in spite of if it is going to additionally seep into the attention and supply it a stable rinse. Take your new child to the docs if its nevertheless occurring by ability of three hundred and sixty 5 days of age or in the journey that your childs eyes become crimson or swollen. I dont think of there is something so which you would be able to be alarmed approximately and that i definately think of it ought to attend till finally your childs next examine up .. yet mum's comprehend suitable and in the journey that your concerened take her to a physician

its usually referred to as cradle cap. i found this great stuff at walmart it comes in a light green bottle, its called babynaturals or something like that. and it'll say for cradle cap or cradle cap treatment.
you can find it in the baby section by the shampoos or in the hygene department where they also carry baby shampoos and such. theres only a few products in that brand so you really have to look close to find it. but its suposed to be all natural and works really well. just wash their hair with it and use a gentle baby baby comb or brush to gently rub the flakes away...

i dont like the smell of it though so i usually have to wash their head with regular baby soap afterwards.

if some of the flakes dont want to come off dont pick at 'em just keep using the shampoo for a few days and brushing the hair eventually it will go away. it usually only took my baby 2 to 3 days to get rid of it.

If it's cradle cap you are referring to, rub on some baby oil and gently use a baby brush or comb. Don't overdo it and irritate the baby's head. Just every other night before bathtime would work. Eventually it will be gone.

Take a soft baby brush and when youshampoo his hair use it to rub it in a little more or take a washcloth and do the same. You can also very gently scratch it to loosen before washing.I think they also make cradle cap shampoo.

Cradle cap. Don't mess with it too much! Just wash his hair maybe a little more often with baby shampoo and leave the shampoo on a few minutes and bits will come out every time. Harmless and usually clears up itself within a year.

if it's on the face ... it's called Milia
and it's related to hormones ...
don't touch her face and don't squeeze them ..
they're not pimples ....
and they should go away by themselves after several months.

if it's on her scalp ... it's probably cradle cap ...
and you can use a stiff brush to massage the scalp and loosen the cradle cap when you shampoo the baby's hair ..
it may not come off all at once ...
but little by little it'll get better ..

and don't forget .... always ask your pediatrician!
